The history of Paz

The Paz Group has been operating in Israel for more than a century. Since its establishment in 1922, Paz has gone through tremendous development and change processes, but throughout all the years of activity, it continues to faithfully serve millions of Israeli customers and accompany each and every one along the way.

Paz is a company of customers and therefore strives to provide maximum smart solutions for everyday life. From leading the field of energy and real estate to supermarkets in the city centers, we at Paz continue to develop and achieve impressive achievements in a selection of fields.

Energy for transportation

Alongside the traditional activity of transporting, marketing, and selling fuels and oils, innovative activity in the field of electric charging allows Paz to continue to lead the field of energy for transportation. The group is engaged in the sale of fuels and electricity to private customers at the refueling complexes, refueling and electrification solutions for businesses through Pazomat, energy marketing to large business customers, and storage and refueling of jet fuel.

Food retailing

Paz has set itself the goal of becoming a leader in the food retail market in the worlds of convenience and supermarkets in city centers. Hundreds of points of sale nationwide, within a short drive and even walking distance from the customer's home, allow Paz to provide a unique experience. All these are joined by the group's digital wallet, which combines innovative technological capabilities, and establishes its position as a leading convenience retailer.

Real estate

The Paz Group owns many properties throughout the country, including, among other things, ownership of station complexes and other operational assets. The company works to maximize the potential of the group's assets alongside a real estate initiative focused on expanding the retail base and locating and developing land for the establishment of gas stations, convenience stores, and other retail complexes.

Gas and renewable energies

The Pazgaz subsidiary markets, sells, and distributes energy solutions based on gas and electricity to hundreds of thousands of institutional, business, and private customers in Israel. In addition, the group operates in the world of renewable energy.

Before joining Paz, Nir served as CEO of Cellcom and 013 Netvision.

 Nir Sztern holds a bachelor's degree in economics and management (B.A) from Tel Aviv University, and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the branch of the University of Manchester in Israel.
