The "Yellow Triangle" of Paz is widely recognized throughout the Israeli public and identified with
the name of Paz.. Paz is the leading energy company in Israel, and it is at the vanguard of a service culture
characterized by a comprehensive view of the customer's needs, providing a diverse, exact and quick response
to every requirement related to energy and road services.

The Paz History
Paz was founded in 1922 under the name: Anglo-Asiatic Petroleum. In 1927, the company began operations under
the name of worldwide Shell and its owners changed its name to Shell Palestine. Shell gave in to the Arab
boycott in 1958 and through the intervention of Israel's, Minister of Finance, Levi Eshkol, the company's
assets were registered by new shareholders: Isaac Woolfson from England and the Nachmias brothers from France,
who changed the company's name for a third time to Paz Petroleum Company Ltd.
In 1981, Woolfson sold his share in the company to the Government of Israel. The State sold its share in the
company in 1988 to the Australian millionaire Jack Lieberman, and Paz became a private company. In 1994, the
Claridge Group and the Renaissance Fund acquired a third of the company's shares. In 1999, Bino Zadik bought
60% of the company's shares, Jack Lieberman 30%, Mudi Ben Shach - 7%, and 3% were held by others. Bank Leumi,
through "Leumi Real Acquisitions", acquired19% of Paz Ltd. from the Bino and Lieberman groups in
2000.
The current structure of the holdings in Paz in 2003 is : Bino Holdings - approx. 51%, the Lieberman Group
- 20%, Bank Leumi - 19%, Mudi Ben Shach - 7%, others - 3%.
Paz Today
The Paz Group isIsrael’s
largest vertical energy corporation and supplies one third of >Israel’s oil consumption. The Group
engages in refining, production, storage, importing and marketing of oil and
refined products for
’s energy consumers. The company owns the Ashdod Oil
Refinery as well as storage terminals for oil products, and operates a network
of 260 retail filling stations and a convenience store chain of over
185 Yellow convenience stores.
The Paz Group maintains diverse operations in the domestic market including the
production and distribution of lubricants, chemicals, as well as bitumen sheets
and sealants for the construction and infrastructure industries; the Group
manufactures stores and distributes jet fuel, and provides automatic fueling
services and other vehicle fleet support services.
The Group's solid financial foundation, sophisticated operating methods, highly
developed service orientation, and its rare ability to identify and transform
marketing opportunities into a rich, high-value reality have all placed Paz at

Synergism Effect
Paz, Israel's leading vertical petroleum
product corporation owns a refinery that produces a variety of fuel products
that are distributed by the Group's companies to a large number of customer
groups, or are used as raw materials in the Group's own industrial activities.
The Ashdod Refinery, which was founded in 1972, supplies one third of
Israel's demand for distillates, including LPG
(cooking gas), gasoline, diesel, gas oil, kerosene and heavy fuel oil. "White"
products comprise almost 80% of the refinery's output. The refinery, with its
current annual production capacity of 1 million tons of petroleum products, is
located adjacent to the Ashdod port, and is connected to a national
distillate and crude oil piping system, powered by natural gas. With its recent
acquisition of the Ashdod Refinery, Paz has become
Israel's first
vertical petroleum company, with valuable opportunities for synergy and
optimization along the entire chain of operations.
Market Share
Paz controls 30% of the domestic energy market. The company operates 260 gas
stations, more than any other company in
Israel. Its stations are located on
Israel's major highways, and in towns and
cities nationwide.
Customers
Paz serves a large and diverse customer base. Over 120,000 customers frequent
Paz gas stations every day, including private individuals purchase fuel and
related products at Paz gas stations, government companies, the IDF, public and
private corporations from all industries, agricultural farms, construction
companies, airlines and international companies.

Paz is active in numerous
synergetic operations designed to satisfy its customers' comprehensive energy
and road service needs.
Areas of operation
Refining – performed at the
company's Ashdod Refinery. Activities also include trade and import of crude oil
and petroleum distillates.
Distribution of
petroleum products –
Products are sold to
private individuals and vehicles fleets through the Paz chain of gas stations
and Pazomat electronic filling devices;
Direct distribution – LPG,
kerosene, gas oil, lubricants, chemicals, jet fuel and bitumen products are sold
directly to institutional, business and private customers.
Products sold to the
infrastructure industry through Paz subsidiaries (Pazgas, Aviation assets and
services, Pazkar, Paz Lubricants and Chemicals).
Supersol-Paz Credit Card
Club
Supersol, Paz and Leumi Card have recently joined together to offer a new
Supersol-Paz credit card. The card offers discounts and benefits when shopping
at Supersol, Yellow convenience stores and Paz gas stations. Cardholders also
accumulate points on their purchases in other selected chain stores. The new
Supersol-Paz credit card allows cardholders to benefit from an additional line
of credit for purchases in
Israel
and abroad.
