Filling Stations and Convenience Stores

Paz is the leading retail filling station chain in Israel with about 260 filling stations under the Paz chain - 87 owned by Paz. The company financially benefits both from the size of its network – the largest in Israel – as well as from the significant value of the real estate on which these filling stations are located.

Paz also has long-term supply agreements to most of its filling stations. In effect, Paz operates 211 of the filling stations, providing the company with a significant competitive advantage in the Israeli fuel market.

Paz has built new filling stations in order to maintain its market leadership, and to adapt to the growth of the Israeli economy and the increase in private consumption.

Over the past few years, Paz has upgraded its filling stations, equipping them with the most advanced computerized technology of its kind that enables, for example, multiple transactions at one point of sale. Furthermore, the company has implemented strict measures to prevent leaks and to protect the environment at its filling stations.

Paz has been significantly investing in the convenience store market since 2003. In the subsequent years, this area has been regarded as one of Paz’s strongest growth engines. Paz is now considered the undisputed leader in this market in Israel. Currently, Paz operates more than 165 convenience stores in its filling stations under the  Yellow brand name. Paz regards the Yellow chain of convenience stores as a significant growth engine for the coming years.

Most stores are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Paz constantly raises the bar on expanding the products and services provided by the convenience stores, in the areas of fast food, groceries, gourmet coffee, etc, as well as services including internet access, cash withdrawal, pre-paid parking tickets, recharging of cellular devices, etc.
